Merry Christmas, see you in the New Year!!

Im just not feeling the Christmas vibe yet, but I have another week to get into it I guess. The lack of Christmas feeling could be due to my resistance to be part of the madness in the shops at this time of year. But to please my loved ones with pressies I have to get in there :) However there is one thing that lets me know Christmas is near each year.........the Pohutukawa trees and I love seeing these each day along Tamaki Drive. Thats a unique NZ Christmas sign just for us:)
Anna and I are back training after what turned out to be a quick 3 week break from the sand but we were still working in the gym on our strength. So while everyone winds down to the festive season and relaxes on the deck chairs or beach towels I know for us it will pass in a flurry and before we know it we will be in Christchurch on the 5th and 6th for the first event of the NZ McEntee Hire Tour. From there we will make our way to Wellington for a weekend event on the 9th and 10th then up to my home stomping ground, Mount Maunganui on the 16th and 17th and finishing off a week later in Auckland at Stanley Street from the 22nd till the 24th.
The calibre of the female athletes coming to NZ for the tour is exceptionally high this year starting with the Chinese silver medalist from Beijing. There will also be a German team who are currently ranked 4th in the world as well as an America team who are ranked 5th in the world. So the bar is rather high, but its great to be able to get games against such quality teams. We would love to have your support on the tour so come along and enjoy a day on the beach.
Anna and I would like to wish everyone a wonderful and safe Christmas and New Year with your loved ones.
